Evangelism
Jesus said, "Let your light shine before men, so they may see your good
deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

The light we shine is the truth of the Gospel. In word and deed, we share
with others the Good News that "God loved the world so much that He gave
His only begotten Son, that whoever believes on Him will not perish, but
have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

God calls each of us to live what we believe. As a congregation we also
work together in a number of ways to share Christ with our community.
GEMS is a club designed to help bring girls into
a living, dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our GEMS club meets on alternate Wednesday
evenings throughout the school year.

Cadets is a ministry whose purpose is to help churches
share Christ's love with boys in their congregations and
communities. Our Cadet Club also meets on alternate
Wednesday evenings during the school year.

Coffee Break is a church based, community oriented
Bible study group, designed to bring women into a
personal faith relationship with Jesus Christ, and to
nurture their faith in Him. Our Coffee Break group
meets on Tuesday mornings throughout the school
year. A nursery is provided.

Blue Mound Wayside Chapel
In the early 1960's, Pastor John De Vries and the Luverne CRC congregation
worked to build a small chapel on a hill north of Luverne on Highway 75
opposite the Blue Mound State Park. It was opened to visitors on Memorial
Day of 1963. By the end of the summer, approximately 40,000 people had
visited the chapel!
Friendship is a ministry that shares God's love
and truth with people who have cognitive
impairments. We believe that God created all
people in His image, and that the church should
reach out to everyone in Jesus' name. Our
Friendship Group meets on Thursday evenings
throughout the school year.

the Friendship Ministries website.
Not only does the chapel
provide travelers a place to
pause and pray, but it offers
them Bibles and other Christian
literature. Through the Chapel
we continue to distribute Gospel
tracts, sermons from the Back to
God Hour, devotional booklets,
etc. Since God has promised
that His word will not return to
Him empty (Isaiah 55:11) we
trust that He is using this effort
to bring many people to faith in
Christ.
